• Obtains funds from local businesses to buy bike helmets and provide prizes like bikes. Kids win bikes in various safety contests.
• After safety presentations to schools, the coalition provides a Wheel of Misfortune game for kids to play to test learning from presentations.
• At Halloween, businesses donate money for the coalition to provide reflective Halloween bags. Kids who use the bags have an opportunity to win a bike.
• Law enforcement agency personnel eat lunch at community schools, build relationships with kids.
• Coalition is involved with local tobacco and MCRUD coalitions.
• Community has a Seniors on Patrol – a type of neighborhood watch involving senior citizens.
• Conducts a seat belt challenge with area high schools.
